Strategically located near National Grid’s East Claydon substation the project will support the decarbonisation of the UK’s electricity system.
By efficiently balancing intermittent renewable generation, it will help the country meet its 2050 net zero target and ensure a more resilient, low-carbon energy supply.
The development will prioritise the local environment and community, setting aside over 15 hectares for landscaping, and improving public rights of way in the area, the development is expected to deliver a substantial 47% biodiversity net gain.
