In the latest Capacity Market auction, Statera secured 150MW of two-hour battery storage and 270MW of gas reciprocating engines at a record T-4 clearing price of £63/kW.
The T-4 contracts were all for Statera’s Thurrock Flexible Generation plant, located in Essex, which will initially comprise of a 300MW two-hour battery and 270MW of flexible gas generation. The projects are aiming to be operational by October 2026 and will contribute to system flexibility and security of supply.
Statera also took a 100MW T-1 contract for Dollymans Storage, a battery storage project in Essex. The project is on track to commission in Q2 2023.
