Sungrow and Statera Energy announce new energy storage partnership.

Inverter supplier Sungrow has announced a new partnership with Statera Energy, the UK-based developer, owner and operator of flexible generation and grid-scale storage capacity, to supply 362MW/391MWh for energy storage projects in the UK.

The first partnered project, Minety South Storage, was grid-connected in Q1, 2022, with the remaining projects expected to start coming online later this year. The projects will play into both the Capacity Market and Dynamic Containment among other revenue streams.

Tom Vernon, Managing Director of Statera Energy Limited said:

We have partnered with Sungrow because of its proven track record, the quality and the integrated nature of its product offering.

Statera believes that battery storage will play a pivotal role in facilitating the transition to low carbon generation and will continue to work with Sungrow on coming projects in the UK in 2022.
